brings you, in association with Summer of Code 09, a hot summer of
seminars. Tech-talks, lunch, networking opportunities, SoC 09 connects
the Wellington IT community with the future talent pool!
Roger will give an introduction to SmartCards, how they work, how they can be communicated with and what can be done with them. The talk will include a brief history of smartcard technology and then focus on the current state of the art, Java SmartCards.

Givealittle, one of our Summer of Code host companies, will give a 5 minute Company Pitch.
The Xero Summer Seminar Series (XSSS) is designed to inform,
upskill and connect the Wellington Summer of Code students with the
wider IT community. A light lunch & networking will follow the
seminar, and ALL SoC 09 participants (students & companies) are
welcome to attend, free of charge.
Other members of the Wellington IT community are very welcome too! We
are a not-for-profit programme, and would hugely appreciate a small
donation from non-SoC attendees (e.g. $10 waged, $5 unwaged) to help
cover the costs of this event.
