Come along for Mike's run through on getting the most out of "cloud computing" - whether you're new to the game or an old hand wondering what it means to you. Acronyms will be explained, marketing speak will be shot and plain English will be the order of the day. Once we've worked out what it is we'll then commit the cardinal sin of all IT Departments and crack into creating a business case based around having a technology solution looking for a problem to solve which we'll then blow it away with the risks, both perceived and real. After the dust has settled we should all have clearer view of "cloud computing".
Be prepared to ask questions, challenge assumptions and have a laugh!

The Xero Summer Seminar Series (XSSS) is designed to inform, upskill and connect the Wellington Summer of Code students with the wider IT community. A light lunch & networking will follow the seminar, and ALL SoC 09 participants (students & companies) are welcome to attend, free of charge.
